M&A Due Diligence Checklist

Start with a clear understanding of what you need to know.

Due diligence is a critical stage in any merger or acquisition because it helps ensure that both parties understand each other well enough to make decisions based on facts rather than emotions. Planning which specific documents and data to request from the target company can save a lot of time and money, ensuring that you gather all critical information to make an educated decision on whether or not to acquire the business.

Disclaimer: The list below is only intended to be a guideline and not an all-inclusive list.  It should be reviewed and modified based on the scope of your specific acquisition , regulatory requirements, and strategic intent.  We highly recommend you work with an experienced advisory firm or consultant to assist you with the planning and execution of your due diligence process.
